"Always got to keep the music in your head & on your lips. It keeps you on your toes. "Numbness is the real torture"...amen, Jack...& hallelujah!" Posted on "Hallelujah" by GhettoZombie
"There's a dark humor I detect here. One of my favorite things. I also like weirdness. The second stanza's bad-ass. Wish I'd wrote that. Always a pleasure, Eurypteres." Posted on "Worship" by Eurypteres
"Perhaps I got carried away ;) still, isn't it inevitable? "A sword needs a whetstone more than a whetstone needs a sword." That's no quote. I just made some stupid shit up on the spot. Your words normally wield an edge. I'd say you're learning well :)" Posted on "acerbic." by spikedwithLUST
"When the student defeats the master. The teacher was just too effective in shaping the edge of this pupil. I like the sharp ones...they keen my blades. & the tongue becomes calloused. The simple wisdom here is finely honed." Posted on "acerbic." by spikedwithLUST
"I like the layout. Dark to light to dark...we began lost & we will end lost. We blaze & stew & brood in between. I love the image in the final line. Maybe lost is the way to be. Maybe I should get myself lost again. Always appreciated, Adam." Posted on "Here." by specter
"Thanks for the kind words, TS. Always good to see you around these parts...." Posted on "The Fell Snatch" by ButcherBelial
"The birth of the inner demon often stems from the struggle for survival. These words cleave deep & cold, detaching from humanity. I bet more than a few poets around here have bones tucked away in their closets. Time for a spring cleaning. I like to hang a few of my skeletons up as decoration. No sense in keeping them locked away where no one can appreciate the icy bite. & the inner struggle is huge to any artist. Cool stuff, TG. " Posted on "_Deconstruction of Self_" by Tattoo Goddess
"Ouch! Straight up. Love comes easy for some. Others find it impossible. There is something dangerous in the personality of this piece, mysterious but honest & biting. There is grit here. Appreciated muchly, Clydes. " Posted on "Silly Rabbit" by Clydes_Bonnie
"Ugliness. It has to be faced. The despair must be dealt with. Gritty rant style work, Mr. Shankly. Broken people, Sunburnt & crackling. We are indeed being scared off into dilapidated chicken coops. As real as it gets. Good piece." Posted on "Saskatchewan, as I know it." by FranklyMrShankly
"Invigilation. Invigilator. I am happy to say that I am learning some new words this morning. I like how this poem shifted in places, from the mundane to the preferred memory, a place where the fantasies are inevitable for some of us, especially in all the brain-spilling still of the exams, the only noise or movement is the scratching of pen & pencil. There's something sweet yet mischievous in the tone, warm yet lustful. The ending is a smile. Nice piece, Ms. Sideways. You set the scene up nicely." Posted on "Invigilator Blues" by Stephanie Sideways
"Heh! "Me" proof. Sometimes it's packaging, other times it's a woman's mind. I really like Skye's comment below after reading this. I also sensed a feeling of remorse & regret. The distance can be unbearable when your heart is in a certain frame of mind. You feel like you can't win, & that makes us clutch tighter to who or what we want. & it slips away in our sweating the situation. I wish I could emote like this. Great piece, Justin." "Powerful language, Psy. The mechanized tendrils, the computerized tentacles, the dependency on a machine to stay alive. This is a well told tale, rife with guilt. I love the last stanza, really ties it all together. Thanks for the read, Psyborg." Posted on "Machine" by Psyborg
"You craft in a way that is wholly your own. It's a difficult work, & I like that. Hypopituitarism, what a word. Looked up the general definition but will need to read further on that. Thanks for the thoughtful works, Cipher. I'm glad you post here." Posted on "Hawthorn Trellis" by Cipher
"I like how you constructed this thought. There is a trance-like quality. I love the word "hostage", & am always searching for an excuse to nab a few. It's a fun game. There is another life to begin with each dawn, perhaps. Thanks for the words, Clydes. " Posted on "Trance" by Clydes_Bonnie
"Ah. A bra full of sand. I find myself relating to Pac Man. Poor guy always thinks he's gonna win. You poke my imagination with dark humors uniquely yours. Thanks for posting tonight." Posted on "XD" by BerkanaSundae
""Shoot to thrill, play to kill, too many women with too many pills, shoot to thrill, way to kill, got my gun at the ready, gonna fire at will"...hah! Your story telling style of poetry really shines here in this dark piece. You are a versatile poet, maybe more than you realize. This is, indeed, brutal. It almost sounds like that damn voice in my head that torments me so with ruthless self-deprecation. Pitiless voice to this mean-spirited verse. Thanks for provoking my thoughts, FB, as always." Posted on "too many women" by FadedBlues
"You know what's crazy about this? If I know you at all, you were probably all "meh...this is okay, not my best, but I'll post it anyway"...sometimes those are the works that people can relate to & end up cherishing, & it becomes your most popular work to date, & I can see why. Keep those chasms talking, Zachamachanalia. People need to hear them speak. Thanks for the words & the window into your life, my good man. Kudos." Posted on "Let My Chasms Say" by Poetic-Realm
"~sigh~ You would write an amazing piece with help from Zdzislaw (I am often unsure I'm saying that name right). I am a thrall to the horror in this inspiration. It's a work that seems to be in an angry mood yet divulges an indifference at the end. You're always churning my mind into undiscovered countries, much like Beksinski himself, & like him, you paint your own unique world of sublime terrors. Thank you so much for your voice here at DP." Posted on "Nothing Left" by The Widow Frost
"It almost reads like a prayer. There is comfort in the darkness for those accustomed to seeing in it. This is compelling, cutting, & comfortable all at once. & not a lot of words...a testament to your talents. We all must be true to our nature..." Posted on "Dark Mother" by Deathkitten
"Truly thought-provoking piece. Seems like there is something familiar to me here, even though you seem to effortlessly go from ancient beginnings to an unknown destination. & it doesn't take long, does it? Enjoying your works, muchly, Salty, keep them coming :)" Posted on "For Eric" by Salty Ships
"Trippy snippet. A scene painted in minimum space, & not a word wasted. I know what it's like to hear the walls talking, too. & breathing & melting into mouths & eyes. You're too young to write the way you do, you know, & you improve your voice with every write. " Posted on "pyschodelia" by attains
"Hah! Certainly, you DP old timer ;) I acquiesce. A shame this one only has three bookmarks. Deserves dozens, & a hundred comments. This work is intimidating, though. You have good taste, Jade." Posted on "If Only I Had a Polaroid of Alexander Leschetizky" by jonLyndon
"You express so much. There's a rare strength in the resignation here I relate to on deep levels, Moonster. There's a growl to those last 3 words I love so much. "A bit like being blind and reading braille I want to read everything, even the very air". Killer line to set up the ending. Be confidant, you, you express like a champ in my book. Always a pleasure." Posted on "Eye of....Something like existence." by Vulture
"I never ride horses. Always on foot. The horse always hinders me, actually. I have seen a few get torched by dragons or beat to death by trolls. Saw one stomp the crap out of a frostbite spider. They put up a decent fight. While I never ride them I have inadvertently fallen off a few cliffs, & have accidently slain a some travelling companions, as well. ~RIP Lydia~" Posted on "Skyrim Mode II" by Symbol
"Still so amazing. A top work here at DP. Really wished you'd return & bless us with your epic stylings, jL. Still gonna stick to my guns on preferring the Beatles to the Stones. I'm sure I've told you this story, but I've never carried a camera, either. So much undocumented. So much remembered through bitter or rose-colored lenses. That's one of the great things about photographs...there is at least a point of reference to access a memory or an adventure from years ago. I should go out & read this poem aloud to the darkness. I think the skunk hordes & coyote gangs out there in the night would enjoy this one. You go from Bach, Mozart, & Beethoven to Beatles, Stones, & Yes (always loved Roundabout, if you can find a bass player who can play it, have them preform it for you, it's mind-blowing) to Opeth & Blackwater Park. Still an unforgettable journey here, my man, from start to finish. Only one thing left for me to do..." Posted on "If Only I Had a Polaroid of Alexander Leschetizky" by jonLyndon
"Psyborg, you dirty, dirty boy, you. This hits all kinda spots. Steamy, angry, ferocious. There's a genocide/"pulling out" kind of idea here. Just crazy enough to work. Thanks for goin' there. " Posted on "Murder" by Psyborg
"Just snotted myself laughing after I read this comment. I admire those who are adept at dark erotica. Every time I try, someone dies & ruins the mood. Looks like someone might die in this one, as well. Good work, mastaD." Posted on "Chains of Lust" by mastadave2999
