Do you remember that time when I told you that frogs bite, and then I chased you around? You were screaming and then started crying and I felt bad so I gave you my last piece of candy.

Or the time I pushed you in the swing so you could jump into the pile of leaves? You scraped your knee so I got you a band-aid and made it better.

Do you remember the time when we both went to the fair grounds and a boy made fun of you so I threw a rock and hit him in the head? I came home with a broken nose that night.

Or the time when I saw you at the dance and we were both alone? That was the first night I kissed you on the cheek.

Do you remember that night I was at work and you called me to come pick you up because your car broke down? They wouldn’t let me leave to come get you so I quit.

Or the time when you told me you loved me and we’d be together forever? The stars never shined so brightly in your eyes.

Do you remember when you missed your birthday party because the airplane was late? I took you out to the lake that night and there was a table for two.

Or the time I told you I had to go away for awhile? I could barely talk to you through the tears.

Do you remember when I told you that you were the reason I’m still here? Well here I am and you still are.

Or the time I told you I was going to be a few days late coming home? Then I opened the door and you screamed.

Do you remember when you said you were going to a party and you would call me when you got home? I wated up but you never did.

Or the time when I cried my eyes out in the chair beside your bed? I stayed up for three nights so I could be the first person there when you awoke.

Do you remember the time I told you that I will always love you and nothing would change that? I know your eyes were closed but was your heart still open?

Or the last time I gave you flowers? It was warm that day, so I laid them to rest on the fresh dirt, and talked to you until the rain came…you always did love talking in the rain…
