Disease

~ Bluegirl ~

She stood,
Teary eyed, and pained
As she asked me that question
That I didn't know how to answer...
"How can you do that to yourself--
How can you mutilate.."
She stopped there
As if she could no longer speak
And when she said that word..
That dirty word..
It sounded like a disease
Like I had a disease
She made me feel sick
but I don't know how to explain
And I don't know how to talk anymore
No matter how small my words are
Or how slow I talk
Or how precisely I explain it
She'll never get it
And I don't think
She wants to.

this has a more pyschological impact than most cutting poems and for that you get a cookie...just kidding. It's a serious issue like most without clear ut resolve...you turned it into an effective and contemplative write...kudos

So much people demand answers they don't really want to hear, so they just don't understand a word that's said. Nice write =)
