flightless fancy

~ not an addict ~

so sad to watch the faerie
try to dance without her wings
freedom over the horizon...
but always just out of reach.
and although i see her smile,
a truer beauty never seen,
there's a sadness in her eyes
screaming "really,
what's a faerie without wings?"

oh this is wonderful... so few words that really pack a punch. There are so many possibly interpretations and fitting situations this could be lent to. Love it. Magical stuff.

Brilliantly concise, painfully insightful heartcrushing piece. This is an extremely well written snapshot that truly resonates. *faves*.

and thank you for reading... it was a short write, but those few words mean more to me than almost anything else i've ever written... and as such it means quite a bit that it is enjoyed by others, as well.
