Un-unique

~ Loneal ~

I see you with those vacant eyes
Where are you in that leather coat?
You sit there living out some lies
Lost your smile, forgot your hope

Don't think that you're alone like this
You're nothing special, draped in tears
Don't think you're safe in sorrow's bliss
You're nothing better after all these years

I see you there, white skin and bone
An imitation of what you were
You sit there sulking all alone
Without a life to cause stir

Don't think that you're unique like this
You're not some secret mystery
Don't think you're pleased with your mistress
You're nothing but eternity

I see you sinking, deeper still
Your bottom has not yet been found
You sit there, dying, no strength of will
No reason, want, or focus sound

Don't think that you're pristine like this
You're nowhere pure, with all the pain
Don't think you're real, that you impress
You're nothing, drop amidst the rain
