What It Is To Cry

~ GothicBlack ~

I didn't know
That one could cry so long
And so hard
That the tears change
Every droplet a burning fire
Crisp and sharp as they leave the eye
And yet still, they come
And the more there is
The harder it is to stop
The harder it is to breath
And in my head
The pressure is building
Ready to explode
The tears do nothing but hurt
As my heart falls apart
Torn by a lovers leave
Departure onto a plane
Heading so far away
With an indefinite amount of time
When will I see you next?
4 months minimum I'm told
But none of it is fair
This was suppose to be over
This game of back and forth
The Gods are cruel
For we're married now
But still you must leave
And I may not follow
Must wait for my damn paper
As this tears us up inside
I just want these tears to stop
Is it so much to ask really?
I've lost the concept of time
I don't even know
How long ago I last saw you
Glancing at the clock through bloodshot eyes
Fuck its only been a few hours
And I have another 6 months are so
Will these tears ever stop?
Will I survive this?
To have come so far and just for what
More time alone, without my husband
My head is aching
Crying for a simple kiss
To come and take this all away
Take away these painful tears
I need this all to end
