Still Birth

~ Tracer ~

I am only in my infancy
Rolling over in my grave
While struggling to breath
This residue conceals my eyes
This cord strangles my thoughts
This disease infects my body
This dirt buries my will
Shovel me out of this cavern
This dwelling caving in
The ceiling is giving way
...and I am still dead

This is so hard hitting and sad, the first person point of view grapped me also. So endearing and effective. Nice work. ~L

Ahh, the title of this sucked me in, then the first-person point of view drew me in further... and when your last line spat me back out, I smiled at the cruel cleverness of "still dead" ;)
