into the wild forests of winter

came to a clearing
snow floating
heavenly cool dreams
of quiet grace
and beauty untouched

our lips touch
a taste of warmth
of life
and all around us
in the icy night
the watercolor
petals
unfold

in the silence
in the stillness
it is easy to believe
the sky blooms
for only us

the stars
are snowflakes
frozen in time
we, too
are frozen
in this moment
are hushed
not daring to break the spell
woven all around us

nature
in a moment of benevolence
has given to us
a miracle
something
magical
