Enters The Sun

~ RubyXero ~

The darkness crept upon me...
as I begged you not to stay.
Spare yourself this tragedy...
of harshness and decay.

But with you, came the sun...
its brilliance shone right through me.
As I fought and struggled against it.
I fell down upon my knees.
I cannot deny this influence
puncturing me to my core.
If you sing any louder
I shall shutter and bleed once more.

So I pulled you close upon me
welcoming you into my glittered embrace
and you took to it so kindly
Love and Joy fully expressed on your face.
...But as you held me, you began to cringe
to shrink and fade away.
That once brilliant cover began to dull
as my night overcame
                                your day.

You fought and struggled against me,
begging for my release!!
But there is just one thing you don't understand,
my love.
For this is my solemn peace....

I adore the not so subtle innuendo and staying true to yourself.

So even an enraptured lover could not sway you from your predestiny perhaps? This was a gloomy ending to an initially hopeful and serene work, much enjoyed and don't be so glum chum!
