Another for My Love

By deadlyangel27

If time stood still for the shortest of seconds
Would you notice my heart on my sleeve?
If I walked by your side with out uttering a word
Would you remember our words interweaved?
If I told you I missed you, I wished for your presence
Would you grant me the time that I wished?
If I bathed in our memories, a smile aloof
Would you take time with me just to reminisce?
I’ve known you long enough to know these answers,
An answer that brings happiness shining
Bringing my wishes and granting me love
That is forever growing and climbing
There’s not one thing I’m doubtful of
When it comes to the love that we share
Because every day that we spend, every word that you speak,
Shows me the love you so doubtlessly swear
And every time that we kiss, that we hug, that you smile
Is a moment I let my heart shine through
Because, out of all the things that matter to me
The one that matters the most,
Is you

Whenever you’re doubtful, whenever you’re sad
Remember these words that I swear:
I have your heart, as you have mine,
And I’m not going anywhere

the emotion in this piece is so thick it almost started oozing out of my laptop screen. it has a pretty decent flow as well, coupled with a nice rhyme scheme, and a very powerful, raw, blunt and grippy ending that sticks to your eyeballs for awhile. you and i share some very similar traits in writing; at least, that's what i've gathered from reading this. i've yet to peruse your others, but you've intrigued me. i'll be sure to check out all else you have to offer. very nicely done.
