Last Night

~ Dissolving Poet ~

Our silence was golden perfection.
The sound of our breathing echoing
amongst the walls.  Our naked bodies
bound together.  As your fingers against
my back lull me to sleep.  The sweet beauty
of your touch.

The way it feels to say I love you.
With half-closed sleepy eyes I watch
you.  The sweet softness in your face.
The smell of our love-making lingering.
This moment is utopia.
This sweetness is pure.

Everything I feel piecing together.

I love you.

It lingers in my mouth.
I need you.

Even more in this candle-lighted
atmosphere.  Even more with our
heartbeats matching pace.  I love you.
Let me write it in your skin.
Carve it on your heart.

Please don't let this perfection stop.
Not within this moment.  So trapped
in your beauty.

I love you.
I can't seem to help but repeat it.
It rolls off my tongue like an
intoxication.  I trace my finger-tips
along your spine.

Let me express it with my body.
With my movement.
How much you mean too me.
How much closer I wish us to be.

As if you were my thoughts.
You pull me closer.
Tugging on all my senses.
Pulling me further down into
sleepiness.

It feels so right lying here with you.
Touching, tasting, smelling.
All our senses honed on the other.

I love you.
Please say it too.

I love you.
Don't ever let me go.
Don't ever let go of this moment.
We lie stiller.
Quiet as the night surrounding us.
Starring into each others eyes.

It seems the world as stopped.
It seems the universe halted just
for this moment.

I love you.
Let me show you once again.
