Glint

~ veingo ~

A man who sleeps a full day through surely needed rest.

And if he sleeps tools still in hand, he must have done his best.

But if within his slumber he finds just a glint, or gleam,

Should he feel blessed, or cursed when hope lives only in a dream?

This is a deep insight with so few words. I love the reflection within a dream. It's a really good poem. Thanks for posting!

Amazing.....just a few short lines dredge up some of the saddest memories, of hopeful new life seen in dreams, only to be torn from it....much respect for this one.
