The Cute Girl

~ Dissolving Poet ~

I'm tired of hearing the same old thing.
"Wow, you're cute.
You're more like a sister to me."

Your words scold me.
Turning my face inside and out.
As, I press my palms against myself.
If you took my clothes off you would see.
I'm not just the cute girl.
The sister like figure.
The one you watch out for.
But, never watch.

I'm the sexy woman.
Ready to ride you inside.
Ready to pull you apart and stick you back
together. I want to be that girl.
That puts desire in your eyes.
That singes your bones with just one look.

Just one hypnotizing look.
With my head held down and my words
stumbling out. Can't you tell?
I could be so much more.
The one that holds you all through the night.
The one that makes love to you.
Burning the sheets with each thrust, and curve.

The one that can make your mind question.
The one that will adore you with every heart-beat
-love-(ME)-sigh.

But, you just keep walking.
With my hands holding out to air.
Hoping you will turn around and see me.
Really, truly see me.

I'm more than a book-worm and a writer.
I'm an adventurer that loves to read the spoken-word.
I love to carouse to experience those mystical things.
As I walk into a forest.

I'm the poet.
That will scorch your heart into pieces.
Who will love you until I have no more words.
And, who will write sonnet after sonnet.
I'm writing to you now.

Knowing you may never see these words.
And, you will never look up and notice.
I'm the one that will get away.
Because, your hands didn't dare touch
the flesh that quivers for you.

Look me in the eyes.
Do you really see just the cute girl?
The girl that you adore.
But, never touch.

Am I really that unwanted?
Undesired.
Un-needed.

Because, you make me feel it so.
Take me seriously.

Grab my hand and let me decide.
Whether we could just be friends.
Or just be like siblings.

I want so much more.
Then to be that quiet girl.
The "unadventurous" girl.

You hardly know my thoughts.
My strengths.
My wants.

I left my spine sprawled out in your sight.
To let you see my vulnerability.
I'm open to you.
Mind, body.. soul.

I want to wrap my legs around you.
To press my mouth to yours.
Let me speak in a language you will understand.
Please, look at me.

Really truly look at me.

and, tell me I'm the one you want.

"Oh, she's such a cutie.."

but never the girlfriend.
