Darkness Loves Me

~ Lawless Fighter ~

Darkness now has laid me bare
With blasted crop of raven hair
And saphire eyes set to transfix
And promise grant my every wish
On blackest nights I am yet blessed
Her silken skin and face caress
And Darkness she still holds me here
And whispers Muses in my ear
O Childe of night with sweet sick lips
Before the dawn you from me rips
I wish to sing your tender song
Though night be short and days grow long
I hold you close and ward the light
Who wants to steal you from my sight
But leave you must and I concede
Lest stubborness should turn to greed
But know this as you walk the knife
You will forever rule my life

I'll be honest... the title made me think "EMO!" And then I remembered, you hate emo. This is a good piece throughout. The theme is very interesting, darkness as a lover... hmm...

I like this at first I thought it was gonna be stupid for many people choose this topic and then make it sound retarded and ruin it somehow not, but you didn't lose the flow and you did a great job! :)

Well done. Structure turns me off, but this is just classic, and I dig the oldies. Poe-esque.

You know I'm jealous since you wrote this first. I love darkess as a theme. Very clever and well played.
