The sickly sweet smell of innnocence
wafting from your hair
At one time my bloated heart
had more love than it could bare
I know now why you pushed away
you don't want me to come
And all the companey i have left
is this half empty bottle of rum
This sweet drink my heart does poison
but i do not care
Because you poisoned my soul first
with a kiss this isn't fair
It hurts for me to let you go
your the last one i can trust
I just got my heart working
we just removed the rust
But i'm not depressed, no
i'm past that point today
Because i saw this coming
a thousand miles away
My last prayer goes out to you
that you may someday find
Another heart that loves you,
half as much as mine.
