Why cant i hear what your saying
your body says it all
you tell me that you want to leave
but your lips they do not fall
on your bed in the basement
on my bed upstairs
on your couch while your mom is sleeping
your lips speak how much you care
i know that im not handsome
to your beauty uncompared
but at least i always thought
you were the one who cared
saturday you said to me
"I will not wear your ring"
these words my heart did sting
and when i questioned what i heard next
ripped my heart to shreds
"Everyone says i should leave you"
as we both hung our heads
we are still together but for how long
this pain it will not leave
the more we are together
the less that i can breath
it hurts inside where you cant reach
you gave that back to me
you say its because of college
or of family and your friends
but its your decision
that is where this bouncing ball ends
you may find another
where i know i will not
i prayed we would be together
until we were no longer free
but remember in your eternity
youre the one who hurt me
