why do these tears assault
a face dry with years
after sadness has left
disgust crawls begging for room
but my heart is closed again

why are you gone
here alone waiting for you
poultice my wounds the battle is done
unseen scars assault my mind
raping my memories of love

why am i crying
i stopped that
they were taken from me
a lonely child crying
pain rippling inside
alone, and doomed to be

why did you kiss me
you opened my heart
the blood flows again
pain washes away your touch
but you leave, alone again
crying till you return
