it has been raining for the past two days
As if mocking my bloody insides
Every raindrop
Hiding a lost, broken angel
Banished from heaven
Attempting an elegant suicide
But with every drop
A puddle formed instead
Being stepped on
By mindless pedestrians
Tainting the angels
A dirty brown
With their corrupted, adulterer shoes
And bringing joy to the little boys and girls
With soft, bitter less smiles
Who jump in them
Slowly being absorbed in the mud
Where the rainforest dwells
Giving one more chance, to
The hundreds of hunched, broken trees
Who’s branches are naked, shivering in the cold
Wanting to have at least one leaf to be responsible for
Not knowing it was fall
And having no eyes, to see their reflection
Of themselves in the rest of the trees,
To have their aspirations complete
But the raindrops that
Fell in the sidewalk cracks
Or anywhere where life does not dwell,
Such as the city,
The angels attempt at an elegant suicide
Was accomplished
When the rays of sunlight fell upon them
And I envied them
As I watched them evaporate
Heading towards the sky
Rising, sparkling
Finally calling the clouds their home
