Can you see?
The empty shards of glass
That are also known as eyes
Can you see through them?
Or are they so filled with pain and sorrow
That they form clouds of darkness
Making you unable to see inside?
Do you see when the fire rages?
When it gets so painfully hot and unbearable
That the fire melts the broken shards of glass
And …
When the melted glass rolls down my face,
Do you see just how much it stings?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it ring?
Do you know how much the fire burns inside?
Do you know just how much strength it takes to hide?
To keep it from crossing the deadly line
You say I'm cold, apathetic
Oh, if only you could FEEL the fire
That burns bright and leaves me feeling nothing
But, emptiness and loneliness
It leaves me powerless
So, can you see?
Or are you blind?
