you carve images of angels
into my skull
where no god has ever tread
and you fill the void
with something holy

and wholly beautiful

you,
who breathes in common air
and exhales the dust of stars,
whose tongue is thick
with the infinite

my strange and awkward butterfly
that tastes of crushed wings

so foolish to think i could keep you
trapped in the cage of my fingers!

no palms fair enough
to persuade you of your freedom

what universe breeds within you
to create worlds like heartbeats:
an act of existance
rather than will

to have touched the limitless,
embraced that which cannot be held
is

here,
take my hands
i cannot write anymore.

LostInDespair,

i love him fiercely
and he steals my words.

I would have to agree with both Err0r and glasshouse. Wonderful, beautiful, and fragile, those words don't even begin to describe the perfection I see in this piece. Wow. *J*
