A tender piece of my heart
Spilling all my emotions out to you.
You picked me up out of the shadows.
He sent you to help me live.
I was just lost in darkness bleeding"
Scared to move or even breathe.
Huddled in a mass of death,
Writing my tears on the walls,
Tackling the problems while blind.
Mouth was stiched shut
For I thought the words meant nothing.
Creating a world of my own
Trying to become a bite hopeful
But it only made me sadder.
Finally, an angel appeared through the door.
His eyes twinkling,
Hair long and blowing swiftly in the breeze,
A smile that brought reassurance.
I recognized this handsome man;
He's changed though like a butterfly
Breaking out of his cocoon.
His wings were glowing
And he wrapped me in his arms.
From that day on I was different.
No longer the butterfly under the glass
But flying freely like him.
I know You sent him;
You're so amazing, Father.
Thank you for bringing me into the light;
Letting me know, I'm not alone.
