Dry skin crackling over my wounds
There's nothing left to live for
Salt in my eyes
Can't you feel the burn too?
My smiles fade into the sun
The battles have just begun
Watch as they blow each other off

Simply burning from the inside
Help me, I can't feel anymore
Will you hold my hand?
Take this pain away

Heavy tears mess up your painting
A perfect family beside a home
Fake grins holding back the screams
Holding a memory of lies
Back in reality, not where you want to be
I'm thankful you can forgive
But I pray you can forget

Simply burning from the inside
Help me, I can't feel anymore
Will you hold my hand?
Take this pain away

Laughing my life away
I've been waiting for this day
Will you hold my hand?
Take this pain away
