Born in the ashes of time
-
Incessantly burning, singeing my wings
-
Smothering my cries
-
Inhaling the forgotten past
-
Stumbling into the shadowy unknown
-
Glowing embers straining to light my way
-
Crawling, pulling myself along
-
Scorching my once innocent flesh
-
Fiery needles piercing every nerve
-
To stop me when I'm
-
Straining to leave behind all reality
-
Just to live
