walking alone
down a dark little street
rain falling gently
at her feet
shes completely lost
though she knows where she is
her life pouring crimson
down from her wrist
she remembers your smile
she sees your face
and has all of these memories
she cannot erase
she's been trying so hard
to leave her past behind
to finally move on
to put you out of her mind
but your kiss she still tastes
and your laughter she still hears
and as her hair blows across her cheek
the rain mingles with her tears
exhausted and fading
she surrenders to pain
and as darkness envelopes her
she watches you dance in the rain
