as she stops and stares
waiting to see your eyes
the way she seen them so many times before
when the darkness overpowered you both
and you were lost in each other
or maybe you've forgotten
for when you felt her gaze
she did not see he fire nor passion there once was
their love and strength were overpowered
by the pain and betrayal that now own your soul
and as she turns away
yet again she realizes what she has done
