and I drank the poison like water-
said Romeo to his .brokenhearted. Juliette
as she wept.

and we're built on lies.

she said- as he lay at her feet
and she walked away.

-
[pleasant] sighted. said I to the night
as the stars faded away- and I cursed society
for stealing them from the sky
and throwing them on a silver screen
this isn't how it was meant to be.

and her voice- it was thunderous
they told me. after the fact. and after the dreams
when nothing. means a thing
but we always try. try. try- to break it down
and piece it back together for the sick pleasure of knowing
that.we.can

and we're nowhere-nearer the stars now.
we've just stolen the magic from them-

.to put them on our level.

Awesome write. Captures the jaded feeling that we have reduced every feeling, vision (etc) to fake-hollywood-sold out crap.

I've so missed reading your poetry, love. The way your works always convey breath-taking emotion, however bleak it may be. . glimmering with imagery and a touch of .. influential magic, in some way.

I like how short it is. Not that less is more with you, but I like that it's just a clip, just a segment of something bigger we don't quite get to see fully. Just an idea, an observation, to mull over...

And the tiny details don't so much matter anyway, and that's clear. You only have to know a little to know it all, and you only have to describe a little for us

ugly with envy they spit at the stars and close the world at night [even the bars] because only vampires can penetrate darkness......as gravity threads the puppet string through the third eye - blinding the stargazer with [lesser dream] lies...

this leaves me with a neauseated emptiness--the way you phrase everything in this piece is just perfect to express the sickening destruction of anything other than mediocrity

Humanity...unhappy seeing...feeling...must possess and imprison...strangle the beauty out of the metaphorical fair maiden...and then bitch because death is ugly...and the world is to blame...fuck everybody.
