"Sinking cardboard ships.." by Elegant Kiss

I should have
troubled you to keep your
hands to yourself.

Instead I sent you a cardboard ship,
to sail to me with.

At the time,
I didn't realize how paper reacts to water.

That's why i suppose
if I gave myself any thought
i would despise me.

This day breaks for you.
And I wonder if there's one part of you
still in the water?

I didn't want the last instance of
communication to have the word "filthy' in it.

but it's hard to tell
which one of us is being dreadfully cruel.

Mayhaps I forgot to tell you how I love
the way you enjoy how that word is peels backwards.

Or how much the bloody keys,
caused by a hog ring
affected me.

Did I so bother you,
when i told you how enjoyed your laugh was?...
i calls it damn sweet.

I think I just destroyed my greatest creation

with

Mr. Luck's
birthday eyes.

Keep talking, amy..
keep talking.

I always seem to get
the fuzzy end of the lollipop.

But I think,
for your memory..
I'll start walking with pointed toes.

Because I think that's just elegant.

Besides, I do everything in style.

And each time I see your name,
I'll cut it out as if it's a rose
and pin it to my dress
to wear everyday.
Smile,
will you?

I better go now,
I'm not safe with writing of you..
do you understand?

Oh, you're an awful man.
but if you are an honest man,
you may kiss me goodbye.

Didn't you know?
...I 'might' have enjoyed it.

My breath caught somewhere between my lungs and the world. This built, and built, and pinned me to the bottom of an ocean of emotion. This was so...fucking beautiful doesn't seem the right phrase, but it's all I can think of dear.

You've weaved life into words, with an elegance that very, very few have. Amy, this floored me, in every aspect of the word.

if hope hurts then, i only hope to get sunglasses. or for the sun to be content sleeping in the sea. i see your reflection on the moon. i fear the last words, that night.
