With nearly identical layout only from my perspective, this was
inspired by and based on
Anth's 'Embrace Melancholy'.

Thank you, Anth.
I don't have to tell you how much you mean to me,
as you know.

♥infinite.

.. . ... . ..

A swarming hollow wretches below
gained and gained and gained.
Struck dumb by the agony,
agony at the heart's core.

To see our perfect peace,
sleep that no pain shall wake,
night that no morn shall break,
we falter
accepting love to shame ourselves.

...white winged this cherubim,
In him I saw yet whiter seraphim,
glowing with intense fire of love.
worn like a silken knot, yet changed like a glove,
shining brightly,
oh, how the dews fall damp.
everything else seemed blank and unchanging like the grave.

Turning... yet back, be still.
dim eyes, looking vainly above
flushing to brown hair and fingertips...
droned in sweetness like a fattened bee,
newly born, all on the threshold.. yet all short of life.

little shivering gaping eyes,
waxed and coloured sensibly to your sight
like a harpstring snapped ringing harsh and low.

singing in the silent sky,
a glad soaring bird..
waving meadow grass,
pied with broad-eyed daisies.
supreme yet weightless,
as an idle mote.
turning ones pockets out,
finding a pledge of love.
a sunbeam straying by.

the sun looses power to scorch the world up this noontide hour.

along the trackless track,
god guides their wing.

you will show me the hidden door,
and my garden, I will guide your hand through each
mortar and stone.

soft the words will become,
all the while my blushing rippling with a smile,
our songs dying in the air,
standing beside Euphrates as it swells,
overflowing Jordan it its youth.

at your side, my dreams
change, yet the same
much knowing, little wise.
led by a single star,
grown rigid in the sham of lifelong lies,
all fallen the blossom that no fruitage bore,
We, all lost, in the lapse.

Mine own,
when the day frost waxes bolder,
will the last buds cease blowing?

will the the world alone bud and sing
will it sing hope to me,
sweet notes,
my hope, soft notes for memory.

My love, will you hush in and curtain
all that irked me from the hour of mine birth

like times for smiles and sighs
like songs among secret trees,
where sudden blue bird nest and sport...
like being without a pang
like this song of the last lilies, the last flowers,
amid my withering bowers.

a grasping word
from shadows stretched at length
seeking the sea of glass and fire,
to reach the stairs,
stairs that are meant to lift us higher,
mount with me
mount the kindled stair
where my heart..
my selsame stain is there.

my loving face bent sunwards like a moon

You, milk white
and wine flushed among the vines,
blooming as peaches pearled with dew,
your golden windy hair afloat..

you are love music
warbling in my throat,
you are the lonely steps of paradise,
the words, if angels and saints spoke of beauty.

do not linger,
our time is short,
flee with me - your life
gird up your strength
to flee, to the day that wanes
that night that draws nigh...
with me, tarry not.

looking earthward,
i will be in the far-off city grand,
beyond the hills
beyond the watered land,
above the gulf
the gleaming strand.

heaven bells rejoice and sing
the air will fill with subtle scents
worlds will spin upon their rushing axis,
light will be poured as
angels and archangles outstripped
exultant in exceeding might
with aching hearts,
and aureole crowns.

love is all in all.

if you accept thy will to do and be,
Nay, pray you, accept not
the hatred and intolerance of sin,
but thy will at least to love,
that burns within
and thirsts after you.

my love,
hold me fast,
at length in betwixt the thorns,
a hiding place for me.

if we bend all one blessed way
we remain bowed in our glory, star with star
i cannot see so far, without your wells of light.

our palms are grown
our place is set
eternally

even the sweetest blossoms live
and beyond this life
.

sins and sorrows fulfill the sum
afraid no more,
for us,
the light will come
arise, shine, in these last breaths

time forgets
falls at evensong
with pressed lips, the world blots out
to give rebirth
and all colours turn to green

the things that were shall be again
the rivers do not fill the sea,
but turn back to their secret source,
the winds too turn upon their course.

our treasures moth and corrupt with rust
the thieves break through and steal,
as we make wings and fly away.

we build our dreams upon the sand,
comely withoutside and within,
all in the end shall have but dust.

the one inheritance, the greatest
and worst alike shall find and give:
the wicked cease from troubling there,
there the weary be at rest.

Praise the grave as a heart stayed on pride
wisdom of the wise
Pray you, loiter less
sow the wind
and reap the void
grasp God's hand who hath plenty decay
the earth fattened with the dead, we pass away.

shapes
forget

they cease
.

"I am a pleasure place
within your soul"

you enclosed in my arms
heaven with pearls and golden rays

led by a single star
without heedless ears
we have forgotten sorrows
and hopes and fears
We have forgotten perils
and smiles and tears.

forgiveness drives apace

bid awake,
dreams of garden-beds
for each other's sake
our dream, unremember
this lifelong ache.

clear stainless spirits

white as white as snow,
pale spirits wailing with overthrow
the useless words flitting one by one
no voice to call the sleepers
sleep to death in dreaming
.

The earth and heaven
rolled up like a scroll..
Time and space, change and death
had passed away.
Weight, number, measure, each had reached it's whole.
multitudes.. multitudes... stood up in bliss,
made equal to the angels.. glorious, fair...
and crowned haloed hair.

one rush of blood fed all

heart answered heart..
lost in darkness,
the world passed away

the heaven of starry heavens unfurl,
the sun before our face is dim

fragility revealed in a sigh

“Will it hurt much?”

“No, mine own.”

(tomorrow)

in nothingness
we trade beauty for ashes
my heart remembers,
although these thorns are sharp
I tread on them

gone and spiraling

rugged way to vacancy

swept through the blank of gloom,
a war of winds that froze
stunned with pain
till my feet, cloven too, take hold on hell

azure and sun starved from the heaven above
with a cry like famine, I arose.
I wrung no passionate hand
songs of spheres and spirits rejoiced over me,
laid entranced in a curtain seam
shriveling with crackling from before my face.

gnashed but without a prayer,
quivering and drooped and slender
incomparably pale, almost fair, yet sad beyond expression.
hoarse laughter pealed in scorn with cruel clapping hands.

bled and wept,
measuring measureless sorrow toward its length.

Marked I, how a chain sustained my form
A chain of living links not made nor riven.

Pray you,
which of us will turn away from patience
with her silvery ray, when she shows a twilight face

Pray you,
will loves name flame and wrap my soul in fire
setting my heart on high to count and mount the deep stages of the sky

two things I ask,
deny not me -
eyesight and light
thy blessed face to see.

accept grace
from this tearful glance of mine own beauty view
How do you tell an angel
that you don't believe in heaven...
