Striving against these power.
Surviving though my foe towers.
What price am I willing to pay
For just once chance, all my enemies to slay.

Menacing, I feel them come.
Why must I always run?
I try with all my will to fight,
But can only tremble at the sight.

An enemy that destroys without a care.
How can you kill what isn't there?
One minute they're right in front of me,
The next they're gone and i'm filled with uncertainty.

The truth is I can never win,
But to give up would be the gravest sin.
When i'm at the end and my will is broken,
For victory do I let my own soul darken?

More complicated than your other poems. I like it, though. The pain of no help and hopelessness captured in 4 stanzas.. -Salem
