manifest this weakness-
my crumbling pretenses
take their time
revealing all i sought to hide...

you slip inside

your eyes undress
taking in my insecurity
devouring
too hungrily
you threaten to consume me

(please don't forget to)
...breathe...

move slowly now
each kiss can open doors
somehow
i never felt so safe
as when you tear
all my defenses down

against the sound
of ragged breath
and jagged nails
across my skin
i lose control
cannot discern
just where you end
and i begin

but taste the skin
and take me in
and forget there was
any other
lost in pure
exalted passion
you were meant to be
my lover

i'm glad i could share some of it with you... the inspiration was purity, i only hope the words conveyed it well.

It conveyed it perfectly. I didn't get lust out of this poem, I saw pure love, and the beauty that love can be.
