She walks away from peace again
and backs into the solitude
forget that he would call her friend
forget about the hopes they've viewed

She runs away from warm embrace
and forces him to feel her pain
recall the safety of this space
recall, then grow cold, dead, insane

This seems to be your tragedy
This bitter cold reality
This suits you, ever perfectly
This empty husk's eternity

She fades away from calming eyes
and disappears far out of reach
escaping self-deluded lies
escaping blame's unspoken speech

She falls away from safety's net
and tumbles thru the void so black
despairing that her fate was set
despairing in her cursed lack

She's walking, fleeing from his light
And fading, dying, swift to night.
