Enter again to this shadowed state
Long has she wandered in vibrant daylight
Pretending and wishing the pain would abate
In spite of the tears still clouding her sight

Wherefore does she question
Why then dares the thought
Why ask them for answers
Better left there, unsought
Where goes all the laughter
Why tear this apart
Why end this again
Before moving to start

Peace and Calm are lovers of mine
Often they court me for a moment or two
But fain would live up to dreams so fine
As both lack commitment and can never be true

Wherefore does she wonder
Why seek past the Now
Why dream of the goal
When one doesn't know how
Where flees all the comfort
Why break thy own heart
Why end love again
Before letting it start
