Tears leak out from orbs that are blind
From the depths of an emptiness, cold and unkind
Cry to sleep, cry to sleep, my lovely one
Cry to sleep, cry to sleep, before it's begun

Questions of purpose, what reason exists
Why is she here, despite pain, she persists
Cry to sleep, cry to sleep, in loneliness
Cry to sleep, cry to sleep, with sorrow blessed

Robotic, on auto, her motions and life
Keep her distracted, block internal strife
Cry to sleep, cry to sleep, with nothing to do
Cry to sleep, cry to sleep, with no one but you

In a world full of people, she feels all alone
In a network of friendships, she feels locked in stone
Cry to sleep, cry to sleep, lacking love from within
Cry to sleep, never wake, and in sleep peace shall begin.

"In a world full of people, she feels all alone In a network of friendships, she feels locked in stone" This was absolutely beautiful...it left me shivering in the reality of my so-called life. *Evangel*

I can hear this in my head, with almost lullaby-like qualities.
