Honor is tested; Will to succeed
Should it be I or my family to bleed
Such questions are yet to be asked
Such things have not come to pass

A promise not broken; a trust undefiled
What bond ought be shattered and path herein styled
'What ifs' not predicted or sought
'What ifs' name the price for which I am bought

Fear weighs down burdens not meant for me
Willingly carried while choice kept hands free
Decisions that may or might not be made
Decisions for honor; shattered trust to evade

Will to support; honor to keep
Should it be I or my family to sleep
Such issues now loom in the darkness of night
Such things, undefined, hint at doom of some kind
