Scented spirituality
departed bliss
loving embraces
a life that I miss, this morn

Damages done
awoken from dream
to the harshness of life
while still you yet seem, with me

Such simpleness sought
recalling then
still warm and at peace
not knowing of when, 'twould fade

Knowing better now
cherished dreams make me hear
I can't help but wish secretly
that you were so near, and mine

This vision is all
I allow me to keep
your face will not fade
from my waking sleep, and heart.

I have tasted these flavors and smelled these scents upon awakening many times. Strange how the memories never seem to completely fade from our subconscious no matter how consciously we push them away. Very nicely written. ~Ship!
