Tensions thick, hearts heavy
She glances around the room…
They’re all waiting on the same call.
A call to take the pain away…

Steadily the night creeps forward.
It rings, then a drive to the Savior.
Bills on a table.
Bags in their hand.

Thank god for the Savior…

Lining up the weeks pain…
One for the fights, one for the shame.
Another for the lies, and a past she can’t escape.
Laid out before them on the mirrored alter.

Roll up the last bill and pass it around.
Take a deep breathe, immerse in the burn.
Sudden warmth with open eyes.
Fast yet clear, it all fades away.

Finally a smile, a piece of peace.
Solve the worlds problems with the greatest of ease.
Flow through tonight…
Sleep through tomorrow.
