Driving along on a mission for himself,
He stumbles across a hidden train wreck.
Not intending on looking or prying inside,
He almost unknowingly opens his eyes.
He peers at it even though he shouldn't.
He tried to look away but couldn't.
He is in awe and feels their pain,
The people who he can't help, he feels their shame.
It becomes personal and is felt near his heart.
He drive’s on past and picks it apart.
In his mind he thinks it through…
Suddenly he discovers "Its not about you".
So like an idiot he drives back toward the train,
This time wonder and splendor instead of pain.
Without selfish thoughts to confuse it further
He sees its power and wonder.
After all he's seen and all he's felt,
A new feeling of regret and guilt is onset
He should have never glanced not even a peek,
And its doesn't matter now that’s not what he seeked
He should have pushed through but he was weak, and hopes he is forgiven for what he speaks…
