Dying reproachfully
In the shame of doubt
I cast aside
Ethereal thoughts
For possession of the
Mindless waste.

-forever gone,
forever grieving,
nothing is deceiving
when all is lost-

Down I sink
Lower in despair
My ennui mingling
With neurosis
Clouding my thoughts
With pasty existence.

Never questioning
The promises
I made myself
Into believing
The lies of
Such painful thoughts

-forever gone,
forever grieving,
nothing is deceiving
when all is lost-

I scorn it all
Everything I had
Can now decay
Shutting itself off
To wither
In the bitter darkness.

Embracing the mantle
Of my hopelessness
Squandering the last
Precious moments
Of betrayed existence
With dejected apathy.

-forever gone,
forever grieving,
nothing is deceiving
when all is lost-

Dying reproachfully
In the shadows of my fear
I wake not to
Perpetual estrangement
But to fleetingness of
Endless night.

The cadence this forced into my mind made this all the more lovely and touching. ~ mw
