"Angels" by Strabo

A last grasp to the sky
Death is hovering
Circling
On angels' wings
Crying out
The fight for life
Straining
Groaning
To no avail
The wingéd ones strike
Piercing
Ripping
Tearing
Stabbing
Till a bloody mess-
Fragmented bodies-
Are hardly left
Buried by a few loosened feathers
Impaled on earth
By her "Angels"
