Love
- the agonizing pounding
reverberating in my skull
over and over and over.
My ears fall deaf
to all but the thundering roar
torturingly loud, cracking my defenses
again and again and again.

STOP!

No longer can I take it -
the blood in my face,
the ringing in my ears -
Love's brutal assault.

AAAAGGGHHH!

Please
- let me close this door again,
draw the blinds and keep out the light
again and again and again.
In the darkness is the peace of silence,
no love to painfully carve the heart-shape
where mind and body can rest anew
over and over and over.

I cannot take this thing called Love
for it is painful to endure...

I like the little clippings of hope scattered through out this poem. Yet it's pain and suffering is overpowering. Yes, O'how i know love does hurt. A beautiful write. ~gothic~
