Sometimes you just have to let go.

lately it seems
my words..
just don't fit together
like those puzzles
with a missing center piece

how many times
can I say that I'm hurt
how many times
can I empty myself
into these fucking words
that never.help
anything

in the past
I've found solace in words
and comfort in a bottle
but tonight
words have failed me
and Jack Daniels
doesn't make me smile anymore

so I'm left alone
with these incomplete thoughts
and dripping the last of my words
onto this goddamn page

its so much easier to just let it go
then spill my heart through a pen..

poetry is my blood

and I've bled out.
