The night sky
Is pouring down over
My cold and dead skin
Trying to dig it's way into
My paralyzed heart

There is nothing.

Dripping and drumming
Down on top of my head
Drip after drip beat after beat
My numb brain does not answer

There is nothing.

I lift my head
To the pouring sky
Eyes open wide
In time to catch
One last bomb of light
I listen to hear
One last scream
From the dying night

Now that was something.

Interesting, nothing in the night rain affects you, but the final flash of thunder and lightning, when you open your eyes, does. Such grand implications. Good work two thumbs up.
