behind the wheel
I festered
both hands
sly to the road

you held tight
like cold shanties
banished
through the
breeze

eagle flew there
so soft
nestled in
a warm hug
no virtue
at all on your
trousers

I told the
sky
not to dock
in your
shade
and it was
wrong to
do

( handsome
men did zilch
for the hard
pluck
of nipples )

drink from
the womb
sperm as big
as theory

climb up
the boil
onto
hospice
sheets

but don't
stare
at the moth
cocooned
from
my
mouth

.

flies
sting

gentle
merchants
with
enigma
flesh

remember
dora
her drum
loud like
a pumpkin
bashed
on tin

even her
undertones of
wavy stigma

remember
her skin
red like
blood

like a scab
of nerves

.

above
the doctors bolo
your body is
little more than a
soft bag
from which
organs
live

both palms
are frozen
meat
abstract
in thick
muscle

( if a razor
was a
peel of land
we would
suture
wounds )

dark imperilments
were
have always
been
recurrent

dreams
become stone
sooty with
potential

and around
your shoulder
cupid
puts a glove of
antibiotics

no
thought
able to
stay

.

I've evaluated
alcohol is
freedom from
age

but what
has caused
this
fizzle

if you are
to die
take a place
in the
distance

where
green fields
soak the
earth
in sun

You are quite a rampantly creative poet. You'll have to be chained to my favorites list, where you belong!

This is why you are one of my favorites. So abstract and full of meaning, so beautifully carved out of a thousand fairytales-depicting the reality of us humans. I don't know what to say, I'm stunned.

like an enormous drill bit.. twisting, and scraping it's way toward new meaning. i'm sorely impressed ~db~

surreal and yet tangible, in imagery lateral and fascinating...like Dali through the mirror almost... I can't explain myself, dammit. >:( Anyway, damn fine write, despite my inability to clarify why. :)

There you are. :) I was beginning to think that you might have forgotten about my little side of the island. *Hugs tightly* Send me an e-mail sometime. I'd love to hear how you've been. :) And thank you. I am all red to be compared to Dali. LOL.
