she fancies herself
a princess
cast away from luxury

brings attention
to her ruby lips
and fair skin
as if that
should insure
her privilege

and she sits pretty
waiting
for prince charming
for a fairy tale
ending

i say nothing
and let her live
in her fantasy
let her
bite the apple
follow
her script

i find
people
trapped
in glass caskets
are too busy
suffocating
to throw stones

it's better this way
i think.

"let her bite the apple" I was listening to NIN (from Teeth: Track 2), and I found myself reading this poem, of yours... they feel related, somehow. The pounding bass, the pulsing beat of your words..."suffocating to throw stones". You Know What You Are

mmmmm mmmmm tasty metaphor reascribed with an adage to create a sarcasm well expressed and so very needed... hmmmm, but, what casket suffocates me, I must now ask... where lies reality... ;)
