gravity has no bearing
on those who don't believe
and magic is what magic wants to be
who are we to say yes or no
who are we to define

and you tell me
falling is flying when you're upside down
and we're spiraling through giggles
touching each other to be sure
we're really here

it's like fairy lights at dusk
whispering through the trees
i catch the shine in your eyes
the mischief of that smile
and i follow, enchanted, dreaming
i can't believe it's you

but intermission comes too quickly
and the house lights burn
reality trips, uncomfortable, awkward
and magic looks threadworn
under the strain
and i know that familiar shape
isn't love, but just a cardboard cutout
of the passion i used to know

ah
but it's magic when the curtain's drawn
and beautiful at twilight
and even cardboard cutouts look
as if they're reaching out

When twilight masks the perverse, predictable, utterly trodden path with its pink, magical hue...I can almost convince myself that I haven't been there before. When I close my eyes, I can see the world anew...but only if I can't see the world. Ciao, T/S

You said it your self, it's intermission, so enjoy act two when and while it lasts. Excellent piece, good to see you're writting again.~T~
