he's looking at the television screen
and not looking at me

he's looking at the television screen
and not looking at me

and it bleeds me dry
it bleeds me
to think what i say
is not as important
as a laundry detergent
infomercial

and it bleeds me dry
it bleeds me
to think he may not know
i'm here
at all

all i want to tell him
is that i love him
and that i miss him
but it's "mmhmm honey"
and "i love you too"
in the monotone
of someone
who's mimicking the sound
of your voice

and i don't know why i stay
i don't know why i stay
except i think of life
without him
and it bleeds me dry
it bleeds me

and i hate him
i hate him

he is me

and he's looking at the television screen
and not looking at me

this is awesome..... it's sings like a rock song in my head..... I just love the rhythmic, lyrical quality.... and the repetitive theme is brilliant, and it emphasises the meaning perfectly. Wonderful, awesome writing. Thank you.
