Oh my dear,
I'm drifting away,
Despite all the words
You're starting to say.
I suddenly have
Something new to live for,
And the one I call "you"
Isn't you anymore...

I tried to hold on,
To be something great,
All the while becoming
Something I hate.
But now I know you,
That's all that I care,
Though I'm over here,
And you're never there.

We'd walk on the bridge
If there was one near.
I'd hold you through snowstorms
Were summer not here.
If only to keep you
And keep you with me...
It's all an illusion,
It's only a dream.
