I'm lying in the highway.
My life is flashing by.
The pavement feels like your skin, so cold,
Smooth, there's a mystery within...

Your life is all around me,
I feel it everyday.
I want you to surround me
And take away my pain.
I want to take your life and keep it for myself...
I'm dying.

I lie in bed for hours,
Pretend you're here with me.
But it's only the emptiness
That keeps me company.
Your headlights shine in my eyes.
But you can't see my fear.
Your eyes are clouded...
You're under the influence of denial--
She's sitting right by your side.
