It's empty,
This invitation,
With no hope of acceptance.
Can't they tell what it means to me?
I was just a minor distraction,
Not worth standing still for.
If only they knew,
What that smile was.

So violent and so lovely,
This battle rages on.
Though I'm not a supporter
Of war and chaos,
It brings on
Such saintly inspiration,
Ghostlike love
Just behond my grasp.

See how they duel on with their silence?
Their solitary dancing in the dark?
Movements so unassumingly strategic,
So humbly enthralling.
The judges are at a loss
As to the winner.

They call for reinforcements,
Their cries are met with joy.
The girls who never stood a chance
If there had been but one.
Now they follow like dogs,
To each her own.
They haunt this beating, bloodied battlefield
With no horizons
Of time or space.
This battle rages on.
