Past the vastness of the splendid azure blue sky
Silently searching the heavens continually wonder why
It should be that things never go right as they should
If I had the answer and could freely reveal it then I would

But alas I realised that all my continual searching lead me astray
And falter I did as I tripped over my own thoughts that flew far away
The indigenous space I occupied at that moment seemed strangely secluded
Coldness caressed my progressive form and I became consciously deluded

In this strange foreign land I sat and awaited the retort to my arrogant query
Minutes turned to hours and hours turned the world into a place quite bleary
Through the worst that weather could conjure did I wait patiently for a glimmer
And the heavens did open up in my favour and warmth fell and soul did simmer

High above the primal ground did I see in flight a glorious bird
And following in its wake was something not seen but rather heard
Suddenly all the thoughts that ever I did send out came flowing back
The information contained therein invaded my mind and clouded it black

All the ponderings of my unworthy mind took up residence in my brain
In that instance did I feel insignificant as if in this world I was a stain
And as all that I ever wondered about had inexplicably been explained
I did realise that all this information could not possibly be sustained

The gift of knowing the true meaning of all things had imprisoned me
Being filled while still being completely empty I did begin to plea
That this gift from my mind be pulled and to never my mind feed
The unfathomably deep truths of warnings that no-one would ever heed

And with tears streaming down my downtrodden face did these feelings flee
At long last could this poor and ultimately ignorant soul truly and forever be set free
The azure blue sky holds a deeper meaning and life’s intricacies are no longer dreary
I encountered a forbidding peculiarity that completed my very own Big Bang Theory.

this reminds me of a quickening. I have often thought how I would write down this type of experience myself but never felt i would do it justice. I think You and I come from the same cloth when it comes to poems like this.~Silver

Your gift of prose is astounding. I fell in and wished to float in your mind, I agree though, dont worry so much if it rhymes, as long as the point gets across. ~Vel~
